# Links that leave .za

Of the links from active sites to other domains, the share that go to domains outside .za. Each site and destination domain count once, however many pages carry the link.

## What it counts

- Links to other domains: Links from an active site to any domain other than its own, inside or outside .za. A site and a destination domain count once, however many pages or links connect them.
- Share leaving .za: The links to other domains whose destination is outside .za, as a share of all links to other domains.
- Page-body links: The same, counting only links seen in the body of a page. Links seen only in a page's header, navigation or footer are left out.

## What it does not see

- Covers the active sites crawled since Palo began recording links to domains outside .za on 12 October 2026; the number of links grows as more sites are crawled again.
- Links on pages Palo has not crawled, and links added by scripts after a page loads, may be missed.

## The latest 7 days

One row per day, newest first, from that day's last analysis (South African time). Where a cell gives a count and a percentage, such as 64,149 (34.2%), the heading says what the percentage is of. An empty cell was not recorded that day. "Counting rules" says whether the day was counted under the rules in use since 11 October 2026 (current) or the earlier ones; the two are not directly comparable.
